Eurasian Bittern’s threat display – extended version


A warts and all version (hide noises, tripod kicking etc) showing additional behaviour before and after the show . What is its lure with the round bit of vegitation?

    i wish i could see somthing like that were still getting excellent views of bitterns in the lee valley and i filmed one in a tree recently there i have place it on my account

    I was lucky to have the camera set up. Eurasian Bitterns are generally more secretive than American Bitterns, although, in winter in the UK, they get more numerous with an influx from continental Europe.
